Full Profile
Since June 2007, when I was first licensed to practice law, I have worked in the areas of family law and civil litigation (focusing on representing victims of financial and physical elder abuse. I have handled hundreds of divorces, legal separations and annulments (collectively) and have represented hundreds of clients in restraining order cases (both for the moving party and the respondent – and in domestic violence, civil harassment, and elder abuse scenarios).
Additionally, I have handled countless child custody/visitation motions, paternity actions, move-away trials, and child support cases. I also serve the San Diego Superior Court as a minor’s counsel, representing children whose interests are advocated and relayed to the Court in high-conflict cases.
Although I am settlement-minded and always ready to extend the olive branch on behalf of my client to the adversary, as is only right, I am also an experienced litigator and I will abide by the client’s desire to continue negotiations, or, litigate the issues, if there is no chance for settlement.
Most importantly, pursuant to the California ethics standards, I leave the “big case decisions” solely to the client, even though I diligently inform and advise my client on the consequences of taking one route against another. I am a fearless litigator, but I also give my client the full freedom and choice to make those weightier, life-impacting decisions that will affect the client, personally.
