As general counsel for dozens of mid-sized corporations, I am daily lead by the above Beatitude. The goal of the law should always be to bring people together, help resolve differences, and encourage transactions to flow fairly and freely. Avoiding litigation is one of my top goals for all of my clients.
Our firm takes pride in helping small businesses, startups, and fledgling enterprises protect their rights, negotiate the best outcomes, and not get bullied or pushed-around by the big players in their industry. We help clients in the tech, manufacturing, aerospace, bio, and IT sectors—and so our clients deal with large global behemoths, large private equity and venture capital investors, confusing foreign laws, and a growingly complex US regulatory environment and legal system.
Not only do we help clients navigate through these conditions, we also secure their rights, and protect them from risks of litigation, audit, or a bad deal. We pride ourselves in finding innovative legal solutions for some of the most interesting (as well as the day-to-day) business challenges.
Our philosophy is to approach legal counseling and advocacy as a form of engineering. Given the physical constraints of the laws of nature and the laws of governments, we find creative solutions that follow the letter of the law and provide clients with your desired results.

“Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” (Matthew 22:35-40)
